Some tips on finding a place to stay near Lynne Rutter Studio

First, I recommend looking at the location of my studio on this map: Lynne Rutter Studio
Also to note is the city is only 7 miles wide, so being “across town” is not really that far.
I recommend that you obtain a reservation well in advance.

Home Rentals:

AirBnB.com or VRBO.com have many listings in residential settings. You can rent an apartment, maybe a larger one to share, or just find a room for yourself.
To find something in easy walking distance to the studio, search for "Potrero Hill" or "Dogpatch" in the zip code 94107, and compare to my studio location.

Hotels:

The nearest hotels are LUMA Hotel and Hotel Via which are close to the baseball park about 1 mile from the studio.
You may look in the Union Square or Embarcadero areas for the most hotel choices with easy transportation to the studio. I like the website Booking.com for its fast reservation system with everything from hostels to luxury resorts. Log in to find the best prices.

Transportation:

Renting a car is not necessary! From Union Square, or anywhere along the Embarcadero, there is easy transportation to the studio via light rail trolley which join up with the trolley “T” line which stops directly in front of my studio.
You can get a MUNI tourist passes to use on the light rail, trolleys, buses, etc. or pay about $2.50 each direction. This rail car takes about 30-40 minutes to get here from Market Street.
If you are in a hurry, Uber, Lyft, and Flywheel apps are a great way to get a quick ride to the studio, and cost between $6 and $15 depending on the time of day or how far you are going.

If you are driving, there is a parking lot for $20 per, day directly behind my building at 901 Illinois.

I want you have a good experience in my home city, so please do feel free to contact me if you are unsure about a place or its location or need any assistance with your travel plans.

I look forward to welcoming you to the studio! ~Lynne
